A single-vehicle crash killed at least one person near 100th Street and Canyon Creek Boulevard in Lenexa on Monday, Sept. 14.
The crash happened shortly after 1 p.m. just north of Kansas Highway 10, according to news stringer Mike Frizzell on X. The vehicle appeared to leave the roadway in a curve and strike the concrete base of a street light pole, Frizzell reported.
Canyon Creek Boulevard was closed from 100th Street to K-10 as of Monday afternoon. The Lenexa Police Department had not issued a public statement about the crash or the road's current status as of Tuesday, Sept. 15.
No information about the victim's identity or the number of occupants has been released.
