The Gardner Edgerton Trailblazers and Olathe Northwest Ravens will play on live television at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25.

The Week 4 game will air on 38 The Spot, the KMCI-TV channel 38 independent station serving the Kansas City metro area. Gardner Edgerton Trailblazer Athletics announced the broadcast on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Both teams enter at 2-1.

Gardner Edgerton is ranked No. 13 in Kansas, according to MaxPreps. Olathe Northwest sits at No. 23 in On3's state rankings, published Monday, Sept. 21. The matchup gives area fans a chance to watch two ranked, in-market teams on local TV.

The Ravens have recent history in this series. Olathe Northwest beat Gardner Edgerton 42-28 in the 2025 KSHSAA sub-state playoffs, according to MaxPreps. The program's X bio still identifies the team as "2025 State Runner-ups."

Olathe Northwest running back Noah Harrell enters the matchup after a dominant Week 3. Harrell posted his stat line on X after the Ravens' 42-35 win over Olathe West on Sept. 18: 25 carries for 243 yards and three touchdowns. He was named player of the game.

Gardner Edgerton head coach Jesse Owen's Trailblazers won 35-14 over Lawrence Free State on Sept. 18 after a 20-6 loss to Hays on Sept. 11, as reported by The Kansas City Star. The Trailblazers opened the season with a 28-26 win over Lawrence on Sept. 4.

Olathe Northwest opened with a 27-0 shutout of Olathe South on Sept. 4 before falling 40-34 to Blue Valley Northwest on Sept. 11.

The Spot, owned by the E.W. Scripps Company, has featured high school football this season, including a broadcast of Kearney vs. Rockhurst.

After Friday's game, Gardner Edgerton is scheduled to play at Shawnee Mission East on Friday, Oct. 2.
