Gardner's 30th Annual Boo Bash takes over Celebration Park on Thursday, Oct. 29, with wristbands going on sale Oct. 1 at City Hall.
Advance wristbands cost $4 per child and are available at Gardner City Hall, 120 E. Main St., from Thursday, Oct. 1, through Wednesday, Oct. 28, during business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each advance wristband includes a ticket for prize drawings. The city of Gardner said wristbands purchased at the gate on Oct. 29 cost $5 and are cash only.
Parents get in free and do not need a wristband.
The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at 32501 W. 159th St. and features games, rides, candy and prizes, according to the city's event page. Costumes are encouraged. Some rides will have age limits.
A low-sensory session runs from 5:30 to 6 p.m. for children with sensory sensitivities. A separate low-sensory wristband is required.
Look for the entrance under the 12-foot skeletons.
No pets are allowed, and there are no refunds on wristbands.
If bad weather threatens, the city of Gardner will make a decision by noon on Oct. 28 and postpone the event to Friday, Oct. 30. Residents can check the weather hotline at 913-543-5305 for updates.
