The Lenexa Farmers Market is stocking fall produce, seasonal baked goods and spiced lattes every Saturday through Oct. 31 at the civic campus parking garage.

The market, at 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy., opens at 8 a.m. and runs until noon on the bottom floor of the garage under the awning, according to the city of Lenexa. All products sold are locally grown, raised or made within 250 miles or throughout Kansas.

Vendor booths are filling with crisp apples, pecans, winter squashes and seasonal baked goods. Among the highlights:

  • Rock the House Bakery is selling pumpkin and apple pies along with apple honey bread.
  • Brew Haha Coffeehouse is pouring fall spice and autumn sky lattes, apple cider and pumpkin muffins.
  • JET Produce and Meats is offering apple cider, applesauce, cornbread mix, chili and bean soup mixes and winter squashes.
  • Schenker Family Farms has ready-to-bake pies and pumpkin breads.
  • Yummylicious Cookie Company is selling molasses cookies, apple caramel walnut cookies and Kansas Pecan Krunch Granola.

The fall lineup goes beyond food. Shoppers will find colorful mums, ornamental gourds, decorative corn and pumpkins in multiple varieties, according to the city's market listing. Vendors including Madd House Hill and Next to Nature Farm are carrying seasonal soaps in scents like chai, cloves and orange, and orchard blend.

Market Manager Hailey Tassone oversees the weekly market. Residents with questions can reach her at 913-477-7100 or [email protected].

The market accepts SNAP benefits and offers a Double Up Food Bucks match program. Free parking is available on the street or on the upper floors of the parking garage.

Several market vendors also welcome visitors beyond Saturday mornings. Brew Haha Coffeehouse operates coffee shops in Overland Park and Shawnee, and JET Produce and Meats runs a farm store near Leavenworth, both open seven days a week, according to the city's fall vendor page.
