Five children were riding a daycare bus that was struck in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday, Sept. 23, near Wildcat Run and Moonlight in Gardner.

One child complained of pain but was not taken to a hospital, the Gardner Police Department said in a Facebook post announcing the crash. No serious injuries were reported, according to KMBC.

KCTV5 identified the bus as belonging to Children's Lighthouse daycare. KMBC reported that police did not immediately specify the daycare involved.

One of the three vehicles was disabled and blocking the roadway after the crash, according to Gardner police. Crews closed the road for about an hour to clear the scene.

The road has since reopened.

Gardner police have not released information on what caused the crash or whether any citations were issued. Anyone with information can contact the Gardner Police Department.
