Vice President JD Vance will speak at an Olathe manufacturing plant Sept. 14 in a rally organized by President Donald Trump's political action committee.

Vance is scheduled to take the stage at 1:35 p.m. at Webco Manufacturing Inc., 20570 W. 162nd St. Republican Sen. Roger Marshall will also give remarks at the event, the Johnson County Post reported.

The event requires registration, but no admission fee is listed on the MAGA PAC events page. Attendees can request up to four tickets per mobile phone number. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with a program beginning at noon.

MAGA Inc., the PAC behind the event, is Trump's main political committee and has a reported bankroll of $400 million, according to the Johnson County Post.

The speech topic has not been announced. During a May 18 visit to Milbank Manufacturing in Kansas City, Missouri, Vance promoted the administration's manufacturing agenda, the Kansas City Star reported. Vance is also scheduled to speak at a federal law enforcement facility in Kansas City, Missouri, on Monday, according to KMBC.

Webco is a metal fabrication company with three facilities and 250 employees, according to the company's website.

Marshall's campaign released a statement Sept. 10, saying the senator and Vance would tour the plant. "We are excited to host Vice President Vance next week," Marshall said. He added that he looked forward to sharing "the manufacturing renaissance happening across our state."

The visit comes as Marshall's reelection race against Democrat Adam Hamilton has tightened. The Cook Political Report and Sabato's Crystal Ball both shifted their ratings for the Kansas Senate seat from "safely Republican" to "likely Republican," according to the Johnson County Post. Inside Elections made a similar move, Roll Call reported Thursday.

Hamilton, 62, is the founding pastor of the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, the largest United Methodist church in the country. Marshall, 66, is seeking a second term after 25 years as an obstetrician-gynecologist, according to CBS News. Kansas last elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate in 1932.

Polling tracked by the New York Times shows the race within the margin of error, KCTV5 reported.

Marshall and Hamilton are scheduled to debate Sept. 12 at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, according to the Johnson County Post.
