De Soto High School beat Spring Hill High School 12-10 on Friday, Oct. 23, handing Spring Hill its first loss of the season.
Both teams entered the game undefeated. De Soto, which hosted the game, improved to 8-0 with the win. The victory extended its winning streak to eight straight games. Spring Hill fell to 7-1 after opening the year with seven consecutive victories.
The Kansas State High School Activities Association’s online schedule lists De Soto’s 12–10 victory.

St. Louis-based Clementine's Ice Cream announced plans to open a franchise location at 17165 W. 87th St. Pkwy in Lenexa, its second Kansas location after Prairie Village, with no specific opening date set.
