The Lenexa Farmers Market's outdoor season runs through Saturday, Oct. 31, with fall produce, baked goods, meats and flowers from local vendors on the civic campus each Saturday morning.
The market is open 8 a.m. to noon on the bottom floor of the civic campus parking garage, under the awning, at 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy. Parking is free on the street or on the upper garage floors.
Market Manager Hailey Tassone oversees a roster of vendors who sell only products grown, raised or made within 250 miles or throughout Kansas, according to the city's market page. The outdoor season began Saturday, April 25, and wraps up on Halloween.
Fall shoppers can find squash, sweet potatoes, potatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, greens and apples. Eggs, body care products and fresh flowers are also available. Baked goods this season have included breads, pies, cinnamon rolls and specialty croissants from vendors such as Rock the House Bakery, Schenker Family Farms, Kukiss Bakery and Mahalo Mornings.
Meat options have included brats, sausages, brisket and steaks from JET Produce and Meats, TableTop Farms and Daniel's Bar-b-q Sauces. Premade and build-your-own bouquets from Farmhaus Flowers, Grasshopper Urban Farm and See's Family Farm round out the offerings, along with coffee and smoothies from Brew Haha Coffeehouse and Kansas wines from Holy-Field Vineyard & Winery.
The market accepts SNAP benefits and offers a Double Up Food Bucks match of up to $25 per day for eligible purchases.
The City of Lenexa described the fall market on X on Oct. 3 as a place to find soup ingredients, porch decorations and seasonal goods.
After the outdoor season ends, the market moves indoors for two Holiday Farmers Markets at Lenexa City Hall, 17101 W. 87th St. Pkwy. The first is Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The second is Saturday, Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
