Olathe South's girls golf team earned a regional championship Monday, Oct. 12, securing a spot in the KSHSAA Class 6A state tournament at Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta.

AD Miller, the school's athletic director, announced the result on X, saying the team brought home the regional title and that the next stop is state at Firekeeper. Miller did not post team scores or individual results.

The Falcons qualified as a team for the second consecutive year after finishing 11th at the 2025 state tournament. The official Olathe South High School account celebrated a state-bound finish in October 2024 as well.

Firekeeper Golf Course sits about 20 miles north of Topeka and also hosted the Class 6A boys state championship in May, according to The Kansas City Star.

The Falcons' next competition is the state tournament at Firekeeper. KSHSAA has not publicly posted the date.
