A truck struck the underpass at Spruce Street and Kansas Avenue on Aug. 17, shutting down Spruce Street in both directions between Kansas Avenue and Walnut Street.
The Olathe Police Department issued a traffic alert on X and Facebook, tagging both the city of Olathe and the Olathe Fire Department. Both agencies responded to the scene.
The department urged drivers to find alternate routes. No information about injuries, the truck driver's status or potential charges has been released.
As of Aug. 18, neither Olathe Police nor Olathe Fire had announced when the road would reopen.
