7 Brew Coffee opened a second Olathe drive-thru stand the week of Sept. 22 at 208 N. Parker St., near the corner of Parker and Santa Fe streets.

The new stand sits in the West Santa Fe Plaza shopping center, near Red Crow Brewing Company and The Indian Belly, the Johnson County Post reported when 7 Brew filed its building plans in April.

7 Brew Coffee installed its second Olathe drive-thru stand last week, but has not set an opening date, Tommy Pennington, a 7 Brew representative, told the Olathe Reporter.

"We've been thrilled by the community's response to 7 Brew throughout the Kansas City area, including the excitement around our most recent stand opening in Shawnee," Smith told the Olathe Reporter.

7 Brew's first Olathe location is at 2021 E. Santa Fe St., near S. Mur-Len Road and W. 135th Street in the Crossroads Shopping Center. The Parker Street stand gives the chain two Olathe locations and a growing footprint across Johnson County.

The chain also opened a Shawnee stand on Monday, Sept. 28, at 11560 W. 63rd St. That location is the ninth 7 Brew in the Kansas City metro, according to the Kansas City Star. 7 Brew also operates three locations in Overland Park, according to the Johnson County Post's April report.

The Arkansas-based chain was founded in 2017 in Northwest Arkansas. It began franchising in 2021 and now operates about 800 stands across 38 states, according to the company's website and the Star. Private equity firm Blackstone Inc. took a minority stake in 2024.

Each stand employs an average of 60 workers, according to 7 Brew's website. Two Olathe locations could mean roughly 75 local jobs tied to the chain, applications are still open. The menu spans more than 20,000 drink combinations across seven categories, including coffees, energy drinks, sodas, teas, lemonades, smoothies and shakes.
